How the Podcast Name Generator works
Each name is assembled from a template such as 'Adjective Noun' or 'Noun of the Adjective', with the adjective and noun each pulled independently from the selected genre's word bank. The Length control decides which templates are in play: 1 word returns just the noun on its own, 2 words pairs one adjective with one noun, and 3+ words uses the longer templates such as 'The Adjective Noun'. Genre changes both word lists at once: true crime leans into dark, suspenseful words like 'Chilling' and 'Manhunt', comedy favors loose, silly words like 'Absurd' and 'Shenanigans', business draws on growth and strategy words like 'Disruptive' and 'Playbook', tech leans into digital and systems words like 'Encrypted' and 'Protocol', and wellness favors calm, restorative words like 'Grounded' and 'Sanctuary'. Because the adjective and noun are chosen independently, the same genre can still produce a very wide range of combinations rather than a short fixed list of preset names.

Each genre pairs 25 adjectives with 25 nouns across four sentence templates, including the single noun-only option, producing 1,900 distinct combinations per genre. Setting genre to 'Any' draws from every genre's word bank at once, which lets an adjective from one genre pair with a noun from another, producing 46,625 valid combinations rather than a simple sum of the five genres' totals. Within a single browser session the generator also tracks every name it has already shown you and skips it, so repeats are rare unless you exhaust a single genre's pool by generating heavily.
